About This Spot

Stepping into Truong Thinh Supermarket on Dorchester Avenue is like entering a quietly bustling corner of Southeast Asia nestled within Boston’s urban rhythm. The market carries an approachable warmth—modest in size yet thoughtfully stocked—that invites you to slow down and let curiosity guide your hands and eyes. There’s an unhurried, familiar pace here, where the focus is less on hurried shopping and more on discovery, whether that’s picking out fresh, neatly arranged produce or exploring shelves filled with vibrant spices and specialty ingredients.

This cozy neighborhood spot hums softly with the hum of friendly exchanges and the ease of a place well-loved by locals who return for authentic flavors and trustworthy prices. It’s a haven where the scents of fragrant herbs and savory seasonings gently mingle, hinting at the rich stories of Vietnamese and broader Asian cuisines waiting to be recreated at home. The staff affably navigate this shared space, helping visitors uncover the little known gems amid the stocked aisles, enhancing the sense of connection beyond just groceries.

Beyond the items that fill its shelves—from fresh cuts of meat to dried goods and flavorful sauces—the supermarket acts as a quiet cultural bridge. It mirrors a vibrant neighborhood tapestry, surrounded by other Asian shops and restaurants, making it a meaningful stop not just for practical needs but also for those seeking a small, enriching moment of local life. Amid its familiar, unpretentious bustle, there is a simple joy in finding just the right ingredients to bring a meal or memory to life.

I could find many Vietnamese dried foods and ingredients here with good price. I hope next time shopping carts and baskets would be cleaner.

The prices for source and pork meat at this place are the best in Boston. They are cheaper than any other market in the city.

Delve into Vietnamese culture and let your taste buds explore what this World has to offer. All with a quick trip to this market and helped by the amazing, friendly staff. Also, several Vietnamese shops and restaurants in the immediate area.

Has a good general stock of things. Produce and other items seem to be fresh and neatly organized. It's a small cozy market

Amazing Vietnamese, Thai, Japanese, Chinese etc store you can find almost anything here except for twah ko (Cambodian sausage) but that’s a rarity these days so it’s understandable. With the amount of great items I did find however it did make up for it. Like Vietnamese meatballs and spicy sausages, beef bone broth ramen, good seasoning selection as well. This place is definitely worth the trip and be sure to stop by

I could buy many Vietnamese things there, don't need to bring them from Vietnam instead. :))
